Michael
Maynard Sr. Member of the Technical Staff / CEO |
A Cool C. S. Company has been providing software engineering and technical project management consulting services to companies and individuals since June of 1994. We have participated in the creation and delivery of a wide range of technologies from platform-independent device drivers and secured, open source network infrastructure tools to embedded systems for computer vision and biometric security product applications.
Initial responsibilities included the organization and formation of the corporation: 1) interviewing, hiring and managing qualified technical and administrative staff to comply with a dynamic company workload; 2) the promotion of a creative, productive, enjoyable work atmosphere; and 3) the deployment and integration of a state-of-the-art distributed network for cooperative team-based development and testing based entirely on freely available open source technologies.
Michael is responsible for day-to-day operations and evanglizes (or otherwise reports) our capability to current and future customers through all facets of the development lifecycle (contract pre-award through product end-of-life).
Before and (in some cases) during the formation of A Cool C. S. Company, Michael held several technical and management positions with organizations throughout Silicon Valley.
See Michael's resume for a partial list of employers.
During the week of August 5th 2002, Michael collaborated with a small team of technologists from RoundUP Productions in the execution of a computer vision study, sponsored by NASA and the United Space Alliance. The work required (tic) a tour of the various camera locations around Launch Complex 39 (including the Mobile Launch Platform, Vehicle Assembly Building, Orbiter Processing Facilities, External Tank Work Area, SRBs and Launch Pad A). Wow! What a project. Our most sincere thanks to the VAMS staff scientists, engineers, technicians and managers like Damon, Brad, Jim, Dan, Buck, Charisse and especially Don Murphy (in OPF#3 for our tour of the mid-deck and flight deck of Columbia) at the Launch Control Center of NASA's Kennedy Space Center !
In addition to his technical pursuits, Michael enjoys gardening, photography, music and woodworking.
Here are a few more Kennedy Space Center images.
